Nuoc Mam Chanh - Chile Lime Dipping Sauce
Nuoc Mam Chanh is a spicer Vietnamese dipping sauce. Goes well with Spring Rolls, fish, Vietnamese pancakes and grilled meats.
Like any Vietnamese sauce, pairs well with many food, specially grilled meats and fish. You can also mix it with Asian noodles when they are almost done and add some sauteed shrimps.
- In a mortar, place chiles, sugar and garlic. Crush them together to form a thick paste.
- In a medium size glass bowl, put the lime juice, fish sauce and the paste from the mortar. Stir vigorously until it all comes together nicely. Make sure the sugar is well dissolved in the liquid.
- Let is sit for at least 15 minuted before using. Enjoy!
